Special Edition- First Day of School
Greetings
It's a great day to be a WILDCAT! Everyone did an A+ job getting students settled back into our school routine! As we toured the building today students were engaged with learning procedures that were effectively modeled by our teachers and staff. It will be extremely important to continue modeling our expectations for student behavior as we continue into the school year. Our students will continue to impress us as long as we continue to believe in them and keep our expectations high.
This morning went with everyone in place helping guide students to were they needed to be.
We had multiple visitors from Central Office today and all were complimentary on how well our students were following directions!

Quick Reminders
Please review the lunch schedule and be sure to go at your assigned time. As well, please check your table number before seating students. The tables start with number 8 closest to the enter/exit doors.
Please do not allow students to take food out of the cafeteria unless it is in a sealed container.
Classrooms on the main hall in the addition (Miles, Beaumont, Faison, King, Goodall) and the K-1 Hall please have your trashcans outside your doors by 1:30 pm each day.
All teachers should have students pick up any items off the floor before the end of the day. For example, pencils, paper, crayons, books, etc should be in or on the desk to make sweeping quick and efficient .
Attendance should be completed by 8:30 a.m. in Powerschool and paper rosters should be brought to the office. See this reminder about other attendance related requests.
Resource classes will begin as scheduled on Tuesday. The resource schedule is located here.
KEA assessments can start as soon as possible.
Dibels/TRC BOY window is September 5-25. Progress monitoring will start in October.
EC pull-outs will begin Tuesday, August 29. Students will be pulled for a 10-15 minute orientation with the EC teacher and return to class. Full programming will begin on Wednesday. The teacher will come and get students.
Teachers should have a copy of each student's IEP by the end of the day Tuesday.
During announcements we will do a call and response for the ROAR. I will say "Give me a R" and students should respond, "responsibility" etc through all of the letters. I will also do the pledge and moment of silence. First day jitters.... :-)
